Importing StudioSprite sprites into Unity

Step-by-step Unity import: settings for pixel art and HD-2D, slicing spritesheets, and pixel-perfect rendering.

1. Export from StudioSprite

From the Generator, Editor, or Library hit PNG. For animations, open the Animator and choose Spritesheet + JSON.

2. Inspector settings

- Texture Type: Sprite (2D and UI) - Sprite Mode: Single or Multiple - Pixels Per Unit: match sprite resolution (64×64 sprite → PPU 64) - Filter Mode: Point for pixel art, Bilinear for HD-2D - Compression: None for pixel art

3. Slice and animate

Sprite Editor → Slice → Grid By Cell Size → enter frame size. Select frames, drag into the scene, save the animation clip.

4. Pixel-perfect camera

Install 2D Pixel Perfect and add the Pixel Perfect Camera to Main Camera. Set Reference Resolution (e.g. 320×180) and Assets PPU to match your sprites.
